New North-thriller!
I read quite like thrillers, and I recently got "Friesentod" by Edna Schuchard on the table - their second "Ostfriesen Crime" to "Fries fire." Jeanette detective who travels for pleasure Norddeich is there the same entangled in a new murder case. It is a headless corpse in the mud, an eerie old house where a little girl was brutally murdered, and the machinations of a domineering, windy entrepreneur. Exciting to read, with a bit of background about Frisian tribal history (you will all also when entertaining reading nor have the sense to learn something). That way, I have been able even when checking the names: If someone "Onno" or "Fenna" or "Ibo" is, then I look at these names even after the Internet and learn about amazing Friesian tribal history, murder and manslaughter, rivalry, royalty and magic. The East Frisians have an amazingly moving its own history. Reflected in the novel but only in hints of course, but that would only be a distraction, too. The story itself is quite exciting and entertaining writing, to laugh and suffer with the protagonists, and I've been waiting very anxiously for the next thriller. After "Fries fire" and "Friesentod" would have to be actually called "Fries hell." Then I had a tip: the next dead would then have been strangled with a belt. After all, there is the famous leather factory Schuchardt and Friese (http://www.schuchard-friese.de), which produces the most beautiful and best men's trouser belt in hand. So, dear Edna Schuchardt, pdf! (Care for your Friesen), and give them what the belt! I'm looking forward to the next thriller.

The life of a freelancer is not easy. If you work three, four, five months on a novel that has to the advance mostly already consumed before you get the money next. Money worries are part of the work of the author - it is in Zurich for two or three years, where an exhibition about an interesting catalog full of begging letters famous authors to their publishers.
Well, I will not write begging letters - I need jobs, ideas, and realize that I did want to get rewarded. I have to plan months in advance, the advances have come at short intervals, and always new, even before I worked off the last advance - a "shift work". For larger projects, I'm in trouble - I had something else in between Make to cover the running costs.
But the work is fun. I write what I want or think, at least for right, and if I look back over the last few years, I had quite a success. But it could be more and more dependent. I work on it. Earlier, when I decided to become a writer, I have always imagined to have somewhere in the Alps chalet, with panoramic views of the Silvretta-road, and I would sleep in the morning, as long as I wanted, then, about eleven, in a white bathrobe stagger to my desk and write a poem. A motherly housekeeper would bring me the coffee at the table and my current bank statements electricity supply, of course, in Swiss francs.
Well, what can a teenager dreams way it is. Fortunately it did not happen - I can write no poetry.

Bin weeks in general have not had time to continue my blog - the reason: I have to write so much! I work on a contemporary novel with a co-author, of the search and still makes new discovery in archives, and also a thriller, the second volume of my "North Pole" series. At the beginning I always have a lot of stress - as membership fees are due, insurance, electricity and gas bills ... and dates are approaching. Also is the author of life! As a perfect end to their own Year in Review series with the shower Boys and because I did it anyway out anything in the last few years for good reasons, I took the last chance in Berlin this Sunday, to me the Year-end program time, the "cabaret Year in Review" by and with the ex-Wednesday Summary (Bov Bjerg, and Manfred Horst Evers Maurenbrecher), and the two actors and parodist Hannes Heesch and Christoph Jungmann, ... (First broadcast, which verb is missing) ... view. Was very beautiful, my personal Highlights were Bovs comment Köhler, Manfred Sarrazinade and Horst's Bundesliga action, Merkel's return from the ladies room and the well taken Westerwelle smiling masks. Very relaxing, entertaining, perceptive, and for their own annual reviews to learn something.

You can still give so much trouble and do one after the other - before Christmas, the time just resting. Shopping and bus in the City, more and take longer because there are cleaning up and making statements, as piles up the post, which is to be done. Tax office and public utilities, health insurance and authorities want to see documents, copies, certified and declared, or face further questions.
In recent weeks, I had also a lot of readings that have helped me and the publisher to sell my Crime "dry ice" - but more than that: In the readings I've noticed, as the novel comes from the public, which bodies are understood or misunderstood, and where I have to change something. On previous readings I've written here already - the following five were me as important, especially since the organizers to prepare the evening in each case, with much love, so you can feel the anticipation clear:

I want to get in step at a Year in review and respond in a somewhat different form than before on the listed events.
In Hirblingen court example, the original scene of my novel "dry ice" was a lot of regulars have been rounded up, hostess and chef had taken care of matching food to crime, there was even dry ice in small pots everywhere distributed in space, and it was nothing that the clouds of steam as planned in space umherwaberten, but just blew out of the pots. Important was the atmosphere that prevailed. There was good food, suitable and pleasant music, and most people knew each other, since they are regulars negotiated, reinforced by invited guests including the representatives of the brewery or a former district mayor. The whole thing seemed harmonious, there was much laughter, not only scenes I read, and at the end of the reading, many people came to the table, there were still asking questions and there were many interesting discussions. My dear wife had a sparkle in her eyes as she could sell the books the same piles. I had the impression that people just like to remember back in the evening we will I, and I am the team of Hirblingen Court very grateful for the organization.
